Calculators

Working out what something actually costs, at your rate rather than at an average. Every one shows its arithmetic and says where the rates came from.

Every calculator here shows its arithmetic and says where its rates came from and when they were read. None of them asks for your email and nothing you type is sent anywhere: they run entirely in your browser.

The six appliances people most often want costed, at today's cap. Eighteen more are in the running cost calculator.

At 26.11p per kWh, the Ofgem cap average for 1 July to 30 September 2026. Every page shows the sum and lets you put your own rate in.

Energy figures are worked from the Ofgem price cap on the date shown and from typical power for the appliance class, not from a named model. Your own rate and your own rating plate are the ones that count. Full disclaimer.
