Where that number comes from
Across the range of powers for this appliance class, one cycle costs between 78.3p and £1.17. Your own figure is on the rating plate, usually on the back or inside the door, and it is the only one that is true for you.
Vented and condenser dryers cost roughly this. A heat pump dryer uses around half, which is most of the reason to buy one.
