Make Up Tips

Applying foundation. Tip for Applying foundation

When applying foundation, try using your ring finger (on either hand), because this is your weakest finger, it will allow you to apply foundation with the right amount of pressure so that you’re not just wiping it straight off again.

Makeup: choosing the right colour

When choosing the right colour foundation, concealer or powder take a compact mirror with you so that you can go outside to check the color, because some foundations do not look as good in daylight as they do in shop lights

Makeup Clumpy Nail polish enamel color?

If you have a bottle of nail polish (Nail color or enamel) that is a little old and has gotten thick and clumpy, just add some nail polish thinner to the bottle…shake it up and you’re good to go.

Clothes

They say that clothes make the man, so I say that applies to the woman too. Here you will find tips that relate to clothes in respect of how you look. Be it preventing ladders in your nylons or making sure your shoes are shiny. More detailed care of clothes can be found in the laundry and stains section.

Dressing For The Weather

Like many of us, it seems hard to choose what to wear in the morning before heading out to work. Knowing how to dress for the weather or the changing weather is the key. When we head out in the morning it could be freezing and half way through the day change to be warm and sunny.

Cold Weather

Some suggestions for staying warm in extreme cold weather are to layer your clothes to accommodate for changing weather. The first layer of clothing should by lightweight and able to manage moisture to keep perspiration away from your skin to prevent irritation. A second layer should be able to trap warm air from your body and prevent it from escaping. This will keep your body warm and insulated. The outer layer should be a form of protection from the wind, rain, sleet and/or snow. The outer layer will help protect the insulation layer from getting wet and losing the warm body heat. Your feet will also need weather protection such as insulated socks, shoes or boots. If your feet get wet and cold than you will feel cold all over. If the weather should happen to change and get warmer than a layer can be easily removed.

Warm Weather

A few suggestions for staying cool in warm weather is to wear lightweight clothing, something that will move your perspiration and heat away from the skin to keep you dry and comfortable. To keep you dry and comfortable fabrics need to breathe and let warm air and water vapor move away from your body to keep your skin dry and irritant free. When choosing a color stray away from darker colors, which tend to absorb more heat, choose fabric that is light in color. Keep your clothes simple. Wear simple styles in pastel colors. Have a summery cardigan to slip on when the evening temperatures drop. Choose light shoes or sandals to keep your feet feeling cool and dry.

For Both Warm & Cold

Always wear clothing that are loose and will provide you with the freedom of movement.

Your skin also needs special care during the changing weather.

Skin Care

To keep your skin from drying in the cold weather use heavier moisturizers, always wear a foundation, use moisturizing body washes (soap tends to dry the skin), use lukewarm water instead of hot and apply a moisturizer after showering while your skin is still damp. During the winter months wear gloves to keep your hands warm and dry, apply moisturizing cream often.

Wearing SPF is just as important in the winter as it is in the summer. The UV rays reflecting off the snow has the added ability to damage your skin. Using SPF of 15 or more is recommended when skiing, snowboarding or enjoying any outdoor sport.

Winter is not only damaging to your skin it is also hard on your fingernails. Moisturize your cuticles before going to bed to avoid brittle nails. Protect your hand from harsh cleaning chemicals by wearing rubber gloves.

Lips should be protected from the dry, cold air by wearing lipstick or lip moisturizer.

Summer Skin Care

Always wear SPF when outdoors. The sun is very damaging to our skin.

Use moisturizer sparingly under your make-up.

To avoid having your make-up run and smudged looking, apply your make-up lightly. Apply a light dusting of powder over the middle part of your face, you’ll absorb the shine but you’ll still have a natural fresh look.

Instead of using a heavy matte lipstick apply a light shade of lip-gloss that will give you a fresher cool look.

Using a lightweight fragrant body lotion will give your exposed skin a fresh clean shine without appearing sweaty.

As the weather changes and the temperature drops, stay warm and protect your skin from the dry air and chilling winds. Bundle up and protect your skin and soon that thermometer will rise and once again summer will be here.

Ladder in tights fix

If you are in a hurry and your tights have a hole in, to prevent laddering, apply clear nail varnish all around the hole, hey presto! no ladders!

Polishing white shoes

When polishing white shoes, rubbing them with a piece of wax paper after you have been polishing them will keep the white from coming off in your hand or later on your clothes. Rubbing the wax paper will soak up the moisture that is left and won’t absorb into the shoe itself.

Hair

Cleaning brushes and combs

Hair brushes and combs by their very nature can get very dirty. Well here are a few tips to make their cleaning a little less of a chore.

Hair brushes Baking soda & vinegar

A really good idea is to try and prevent the build up of hair that can accumulate on your brushes. I know it is a chore but it will make it easier in the long run. To give them a real good clean you can sprinkle some baking soda directly onto the brush or comb and then spray with vinegar. You get a lovely foaming reaction. Leave for 5 or 10 minutes and rinse clean.

Combs and Brushes. Clean a Brush or Comb the easy way

A very simple way to keep your brush or comb clean is to just throw them in with the laundry. Wash as usual. Be careful not to put them in the dryer, though. Just drip dry.

Every time I’ve tried this either a brush tine or rat-tail end of a comb gets stuck and bent/ruined in the holes in the washer. I was looking on this site to see if anyone had a suggestion about how to resolve that problem. I tried just using a gentle cycle and not letting it spin dry but rather scoop the items out and rinse under the tap but they still were getting stuck every-which-way in the washer holes.

Comb Cleaning with Denture cleaning tablets

Clean your comb or brushes easy, use Denture cleaning tablets. The cheap Wal-Mart brand works fine. Soak overnight.

Removing hairspray and gook from your curling iron

Purchase a cream based perm 4 or 5 dollars. Heat up curling iron. once it is heated unplug and place in the perm base then wipe off with a towel. Looks like new again!!!

Hair brushes Wash them with you

Keep brushes and combs clean, is to wash them every time you wash your hair. Use a nail brush and your regular shampoo and give them a scrub. The nail brush gets in between the teeth of the comb and the bristles on the hair brush. Simple and quick…

Use a conditioning cream

Use a conditioning cream like blue magic or pink lotion and use a shampoo/conditioner that is especially for afro or caribean hair types.

Especially for” products are often only specialized in price or advertising. Check ingredients and experiment with what works for your hair!

Blonde hair turning green

If you are blonde and your hair goes green from the chlorine in a swimming pool wash your hair in ketchup and it bring the blonde back.

add a little vinegar to the ketchup & it works too. i went VERY green in spain, didn’t realise it would happen.scary ! had to wash it EVERY day with ketchup & vinegar though.

Once your hair is colored, keeping it that way is another story. Depending on the shampoo you use and the condition of your water (especially well water, that can wreak havoc with your hair), your hair color can fade fast or change depending on the mineral content of your water. To keep your color longer, use a good color depositing shampoo or conditioner. http://www.haircareusa.com lists quite a few, such as Tressa Watercolors, All-Nutrient Color+Shampoo, and ClayPac. If your hair (especially blondes) is changing because of your water, check out the Malibu Crystal Gel Treatment. An amazing product that removes chemical, minerals, chlorine, etc. while leaving your hair color intact. http://www.haircareusa.com carries that too. Great products to keep your hair color looking its best.

Hair Dealing with static hair

If you suffer from that horrible static hair, try brushing your hair with your fingers rather than using a nylon brush.

Your fingers are a bit more greasy so your hair wont fly up!!!

Static Hair, Just use a dryer sheet

If you have static-y hair you can temporarily fix it by rubbing a dryer sheet over it, starting from your part and going downward of course. And it smells good too! Or try different conditioners, your hair could just be rebeling against a certain kind.

This is true. I have static in my hair and by rubbing the dryer sheet in my hair it did help take the static out. I’ve told my stylist that I have to do this and she kind of looked at me silly. To this day I carry a dryer sheet in my purse it do calm the static down.

Hair Instant hair conditioner, frizz serum

When your hair is a little bit damp after washing, put a small dab of castor oil in your palm and rub you palms together to heat the oil. then just pat the oil onto your tips and damaged areas. It does a better job than my expensive instant conditioner

Afro Hair Tips. Minimize brushing

If you have arfo hair then try to minimize brushing. Brush at night then wear a hairnet to bed, or treat yourself to a silk pillow. The more you brush, rub or mess with the more frizzy it gets.

Afro hair that is frizzy, needs proper moisturizing.

deep condition. hot oil treatment, leave in conditioner. air dry or blow dry low heat. dont use boar bristle brush. use wide tooth comb

Organizing hair scrunchies

I keep a freestanding paper towel holder on the bathroom cabinet and keep all my hair scrunchies on it. I make them from fabric scraps, and that’s the only thing I’ve found that keeps them well organized and in place. If you don’t have very many, a CD spindle pack would work well, too.

Rinse Away Swimmers Green Hair

There have been published reports of blonde hair going green after prolonged exposure to chlorine in swimming pools. Sometimes darker hair can also develop a green tint to it. My 3 daughters have blonde hair and I do to. We all live in the swimming pool so “green swimmers hair” has occurred to us several times.

The problem is due to high concentrations of copper dissolved in the pool water. This can chemically interact with chlorine and the resulting chemical compound readily binds to the hair cuticle (Goldschmidt 1979, Goette 1978). It has also been reported that high levels of copper in tap water can also turn hair green (Goldschmidt 1979).

My mother who is a beautician gave me a solution to wash the “Green right out of your hair”. It is tomato sauce.
Simply shampoo your hair as usual then work one 8 ounce can of tomato sauce into your hair (you may use more if needed). Rinse out the tomato sauce with warm water (the warmer the better). Shampoo hair again then use conditioner.

It really works!!!

Coloring or dying hair

Cheap hair lightener Beauty tips

To lighten hair, use 1/4 cup chopped fresh rhubarb to 2 cup boiling water. Let the liquid cool and then strain then apply as a rinse.

Hair Dye. Tips for dying gray hair

If you dye your hair to keep those gray colors from showing through there are a few tips that you can use to keep your color for longer:

that is something i am pretty sure that we already knew….is there not something that helps keep the color longer that is not already a given??

For those with dyed red hair

For those with dyed red hair, keep colour from fading by massaging tomato sauce into your hair it keeps colour vibrant naturally without any harmful chemicals.

Funky highlights – to get crazy colored highlights

To get crazy colored highlights, just take a washable marker and streak it through your hair. It will last all day, and then you can wash it out with shampoo!!

This is stupid. What if you have dark colored hair, the marker won’t show up

Hair bleaching bliss. Stop the itching

about an hour before having your hair coloured with bleach take antihistamine tablets its stops all the itching and it is no longer uncomfortable.

Hair Color gone wrong? Fix with this

If you have recently dyed your hair a shade that came out way too dark and you want a easy solution, here it is. Simply mix 3 parts lemon juice to one part conditioner (acids in lemon juice naturally lighten hair) and saturate hair with the mix.

How to hide grown out highlights

If you have highlighted your hair and you can’t find any product to remove it, then you should try this. This will work, but it is probably better to buy some sort of dye remover. Okay, if you are in a pinch, this is good.

Simply buy a color that is a little lighter than your natural hair color and dye your hair that color. It will mask the place where the highlights grew out.

PS- It is better to use a temporary dye that will wash out in about a month.

How to remove hair color stains from your skin

Particularly dark hair coloring can often stain the skin it touches when coloring the hair. To avoid this problem, I suggest carefully applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly around the hairline and anywhere else you may come into skin contact with the coloring product. Also, I have yet to see a case where 24 hours didn’t do the trick. Simple perspiring pushes the excess color out of the pores, and as difficult as it may seem to get off when just finishing a hair coloring, it’s amazing how easily it comes off after even a few hours. There are those of us, however, who put that stuff on ourselves because we’re concerned about our appearance NOW, however! As a hairstylist with 30 years experience, I can tell you the best methods to remove hair color from your skin are:

  1. Cigarette ashes – Finally, that friend or relative who still smokes has a redeeming quality regarding their habit! Gently rub cigarette ashes onto the stained area. It works miracles.

  2. (The most commonly used method in hair salons) For more difficult stains, use cuticle remover, that can be purchased at nearly any drug store or beauty supply. Be careful though to rub it gently, as being too aggressive can actually remove skin!

  3. Permanent wave solution will also remove most hair coloring from hands and skin. Be careful though, once again, not to rub too hard, or to leave it on the skin for more than a couple of minutes or so. Many people have sensitive skin, and ideally should so a patch test before using this method, although I’ve never personally had a problem with the little bit of irritation I may have incurred, as opposed to the color stain I would have walked around for a day with.

Red highlights using cranberry juice

To make red highlights try rinsing your hair in cranberry juice!

It worked really well except it only lasted for 2 days. Was it supposed to last only that long if you have any tips on homemade black or brown hair dye send the instructions for me.

Self Hair Colouring : use 1 box twice

Next time you use a box of hair dye, keep the shaker bottle and rinse it clean. Then next time you buy another box of dye only use half of the solution by using the old bottle and mix in there only half of the solution. Keep the other half of the ingredients for next time by tightly closing the lids of the original bottles.

This way a box of hair dye will last you for 2 applications. It’s a good method if you have shoulder length hair or shorter. I was amazed when someone pointed it out to me, how much you can save per year if you think that we have to colour the roots of our hair every 6 weeks and now a box will be good for 2 applications instead of the normal just one application.

Skin test before coloring your hair

Before you colour your hair or have your eyelashes or brows tinted ALWAYS do a skin test. this will allow you to see if any adverse reactions may occur
this should be done at least 24-48 hours before application.

To do this apply a small amount of dye or tint on the back of the wrist where the skin is more sensitive, leave for24 hours if itching swelling tingling or redness occurs DO NOT carry on with treatment and wash off IMMEDIATELY if no change you can carry on with treatment

Conditioning

Advice for conditioning hair

Once you have washed you hair, and have massaged the conditioner in to your scalp, leave the conditioner in for about 3 to 5 minutes. This allows the conditioner to condition from the roots of your hair, to the very tips, leaving you with extra soft and super shiney hair. Rinse with cold water for great results.

Mix and match your shampoo and conditioner

Sometimes shampoos work better with a different brand of conditioner than with the “match”. It took some experimenting, but I found that Herbal Essences conditioner used after Pert Plus gave me softer, lighter hair that looked cleaner longer.

I use Herbal Essence for oily hair and at first used an Alberto conditioner. (thumbs down)! My hair tangled SO easily! (I have waist-length hair). So, now I have Suave conditioner along with Herbal Essence… my hair feels great and NO tangles!

Beautiful Shiny Blonde Hair

With thick blond hair, lately it seems to be turning dull looking. I’ve even bought those very expensive “blonde shampoos”. I really don’t think that they worked any better at making my hair lighter or shiny. My hair has gone through some abuse over the years. With every pregnancy my hair has changed.

It thickens during pregnancy and actually turns naturally curly. I wonder why it just won’t stay that way? After delivery my hair seems to fall out like crazy. My beautician has to remind me of all the hair I had accumulated during my pregnancy. So you see I am not losing my hair just the hair I had borrowed.

After the birth of my last child my hair seemed to darken rather that stay its beautiful shiny blonde color.

I went investigating to see what I could do to lighten my hair without harsh chemicals. I feel my hair has had enough abuse it doesn’t need anymore.

I tried applying ¼ cup lemon juice to my hair. Then I went out in the sun and spent the day. When I returned from the sun I washed my hair with my everyday shampoo and conditioner.

If you try this method of lightening your hair be sure to apply conditioner liberally. The lemons produce acid that could dry out your hair. This seemed to work with my hair. My hair appeared a little lighter than before I started.

When choosing a shampoo. Choose one that is the best for your type of hair. First identify your hair type. Is it oily, normal or dry? Consult your hairdresser if you are having trouble identifying your type.

For oily hair choose a gentle shampoo that is made specifically for oily hair.
For curly hair moisturizing shampoo is best.
Use a color-safe shampoo and conditioner every day for hair that’s been dyed, bleached or highlighted.

To give brown hair a warmer glow here is a tip for you to try. Brew one strong cup of espresso and let cool completely. Pour the brew onto dry hair and let stand for twenty minutes. Now rinse it out. Your hair should be shiny and beautiful like never before.

I have another way to make your hair looking shiny and stunning. You may have heard of this before but I have tried this and it did seem to give my hair a lustrous shine. Just take a raw egg and massage it throughout your hair.

How about the hair that you can’t control? Those fly away static hair. To rid your hair of all this static just take an inexpensive dry sheet and rub it from your roots to your ends.

Avoid hair loss by washing your hair regularly in warm water and a deep conditioner. Eat a well balanced diet. Take care of your health. Stay away from harsh chemicals. Avoid hairstyles such as ponytails or styles that will stretch and pull hair. Remember that it is normal to lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day.

The last tip I have is to make homemade hairspray. This is a way to cut those expensive hairspray cost. First take a lemon and chop it into four pieces. For dry hair use an orange instead of a lemon. Place lemon or orange in a pot with two cups of water. Boil until half of the amount of water remains. Cool, strain, and place in a spray bottle. Store in the refrigerator. By adding one ounce of rubbing alcohol as a preservative. The spray can be stored up to two weeks un-refrigerated. This hairspray has such a sweet smelling scent.

I hope that you find these wonderful tips useful. Since discovering how wonderful they make my hair look and feel, I will never go back to store bought hair products. Remember to stay away from harsh chemicals that will dry and damage your hair.

To rid your hair of build up left from shampoo, conditioner, hairstyling products etc. Add about a teaspoon of baking soda to your regular hand full of shampoo. Lather and rinse. Condition as normal. (amount of baking soda depends on length of hair, mine is short and I use a teaspoon)

some great tips for hair and skin and stuff but this one we haven’t told anybody. it’s for any kind of hair. Long or short oily or dry.

For squeaky clean hair, use a teaspoon of Baking Soda (bicarbonate of soda) mixed in your palm with your favorite shampoo. Shampoo as usual and rinse thoroughly. The Baking Soda helps remove the build-up from conditioners, mousses and sprays to give you naturally clean hair.

To get you hair feeling smooth and silky massage a cupful of olive oil into your hair and leave as desired wash off with shampoo and enjoy great feeling hair at no cost .

Grab an old clean shampoo bottle put 1/3 cup of coacoa butter lotion in the bottle add 1/3 cup of baby oil then add 1/2 cup of a miller or bud light beer then add 2 cups of water the tea tree oil.

To condition your hair, put mayonnaise on it, then put on a shower cap and spend an hour in the sun. It deep conditions it.

Miracles of Olive Oil for hair

As said before there are numerous uses for olives and olive oil. Such as also applying olive oil to your hair, just put some in a spray bottle and every night spray some in your hair and massage gently. This will allow the oil to get to your roots, and will create stronger healthier roots to your hair, as well as giving it a healthier glow :).. It may be a little on the smelly side, and messy side for those pillow cases, so remember to just tie up your head with a showercap or bag 🙂 and you’ll be fine

It may lubricate your hair on the outside but eating foods that help hair growth and beauty start from the inside!
Check with your doctor to see if you have a mineral or calcium deficiency. Sometimes you may lack certain hormones that affect your hair.

Also using too many contrqaptions like hair dryers, hot combs, electric rollers, perms do a lot of damage and destroy your scalp that includes hair sprays and gels they clog the scalp. Stay away from all that junk and you will have stron healthy hair!

Mix and match your shampoo and conditioner

Sometimes shampoos work better with a different brand of conditioner than with the “match”. It took some experimenting, but I found that Herbal Essences conditioner used after Pert Plus gave me softer, lighter hair that looked cleaner longer.

use Herbal Essence for oily hair and at first used an Alberto conditioner.

Multi Racial Hair Care – Straightening

Up till I was about 7, I had rather manageable hair. Of course at the age 7 is also when my mother decided to start letting me do my own hair, and I have been struggling since, until recently. Being that I’m part African American, German, and Native American, you can only imagine my troubles with my hair. I used to hate it, but now I love the versatility of my hair.

or the past 10 years, I would say I’ve been avoiding oil, but now I must say it’s my best friend. If you notice, Indians, from India have all different kinds of texture types, how do they deal with it?

1. Once a week oil your hair moderately with Amla oil, olive oil, and coconut oil mixture. You can buy Amla and Coconut at any Indian Foods store. You have to mix them yourself, i just mix them in my hand. (Trust me, our texture hair, just NEEDS oil)

2. Maybe you don’t want that oily look, too bad, at least one day out of a week you will have it, so do this oiling on a Saturday or Sunday.

3. leave it and go about your business

4. the next day, shampoo your hair. (but don’t try to shampoo all the oil out, just a gentle shampoo)

5. Deep condition it with a egg and mayo mixture, or your favorite.

6. DETANGLE with Paul Mitchel Detangler, expensive, but in my 10 years, it is the BEST!

7. don’t brush out in the shower like i’ve been doing, use the detangler and then use a wide tooth comb to come out, WHILE the conditioning detangler is still in your hair, while in shower. (*key is to comb the tangled mess out from tip to roots, WHILE the detangler is in your hair.)

8. rinse through

9. you should still feel a little bit of the oil, not too much but you should notice it.

10. gently squeeze out any water

11. wrap in towel

12. before completely dry add a little bit of amla and coconut oil completely through hair. Hair should be damp (if you squeeze it no water should come out).

13. part and braid in two sections, depending on how long your hair is.

14. EVERY NIGHT before you go to bed, braid your hair up. wrap in satin scarf.

15. The next day. take your hair down, it should be relatively wavy, if not curly, but not a tangled mess.

16. at this point, you can wear it wavy/curly.

FOR STRAIGHT HAIR
after step 12.

13. Blow dry as straight as possible down, PREFERABLY use a dryer with a comb, other wise you might need help unless you’re used to it, to this day I HAVE to use a dryer with a comb attachment.

14. once dry, should look like Chaka Khan. Poofy, kinda crinkly and cotton candy like, but NOT a tangled mess.

15. separate hair in sections. there is still hope 🙂

16. LIGHTLY replace hair with amla, or coconut oil, remember GENTLE LIGHTLY OIL unless you want to fry your hair over time. ***TIP: IF YOUR HAIR IS TOO OILY THEN IT WILL NOT GET AS STRAIGHT, YOU WILL ONLY BE FRYING YOUR HAIR WHEN YOU START FLAT IRONING IT.***The consistency of oil should be that of a light glisten, not shiny, but not dry. You’ll figure it out.

17. If you want BONE STRAIGHT hair, before you flat iron, press your hair with a hot comb…i use a professional one because I’ve been doing it so long, but if you’re young, maybe you can get a electric one, i’ve burned myself enough times that i got it down now.

18. Use a CERAMIC flat iron. allow 1 hour for this process. Run the flat iron through very small sections of hair.

19. TADA!!!, now, another TIP*** believe it or now, if you braid your hair up at this point, and sleep on it, your hair will actually get more straight over night, that is if it’s not overly oiled, if there is too much oil it will revert back to curly, if there is not enough oil, your hair will break.

Remember moisturized hair, is just like moisturized skin, it allows flexibility. Also, if you’re tired of straight hair, and it doesn’t seem to be curling as much…wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo, don’t condition. Conditioner is kinda like a VERY subtle relaxer.

COMB BEFORE You shampoo, while it is DRY. gently towel dry as not to tangle. gently oil to reduce breakage…braid Tightly…wrap, and sleep. The next morning you will have a wavy look. If you want it to be REALLY curly…after you towel dry, lightly oil. don’t braid, don’t twist, just comb with wide tooth comb. sleep with hair loose. You will wake up with the most beautiful locks. Of course you might have to use Paul Mitchel Detangler the next day…but this is the life of a multi racial girl…!!

Conditioning Natural color

If you use johnson & johnson baby shampoo it will bring out

1. hair color
2.strenghten hair
3.smooth hair
4.shiny hair

Baby shampoo is only for babies that is why it is called baby shampoo… You use it on baby’s to remove cradle cap. Yes this does work to get achieve these claims but also is too harsh for adult or mature hair.

Olive oil and egg yolk for hair conditioning

Beat an egg yolk and oilve oil well together. One egg yolk with one and a half tablespoon of olive oil for short hair. Pls adjust the mixture to yr hair length.

Apply on yr hair (when dry), leave it in a shower cap for at least half an hour to one hour, then shampoo yr hair as usual. Yes, yr hair would be soft and you will like it!! :

It’s not a comment actually..coz i haven’t tried it..coz i remember a friend told me..olive oil and egg white not the egg yolk..is it ok if i combine the egg white and olive oil? will this also remove dandruff?

Conditioning Perfect natural looking hair

Here is a wonderful tip for perfect looking hair with brillant hair color. After every two months color your hair 2 shades darker. To protect hair from the dryness of chemicals, regularly message hair and scalp with olive oil and the previous day wash the oil off with a baby shampoo. Your hair will always be smooth and shiny.

Hey thanks for the wonderfyl tip. I tried it and found benifit. My hair is actually drawing attention of people.

Remove hair product ‘Build up’ with Bicarb!

Regular use of shampoo and styling products can contribute to a ‘build up’ on you hair. An effective and cheap method to treat your tresses to a rescue treatment is simply to add a teaspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda to your usual shampoo. This clarifying wash will reduce product residue and leave you with shiny locks to be proud of!

Shiny beautiful curls!

We are all tired of dry curls. I know it because myself used to suffer from that. For all of you chick with curly hair, Olive oil is the key. First, take a cup full of olive oil, (convenient while showering.) Apply Olive oil After you shampooed and applied conditioner, and start applying from tip to roots.

Apply as much as you want. After, take a bag, and tie it so it covers your hair. Any leftover of Olive oil, apply to your skin, So it glows. Leave olive oil wit cap over night, and wash it with COLD water in the morning. Apply not shampoo, only conditioner after taking it off.

Tie your hair in towel, and leave until dry enough, (Do not brush.) wrapping around towel scrunches the hair. Take off and let dry Do not apply any moose unless needed since olive oil will make it shiny. Again, after washing, Do not brush at all.

Conditioning Shiny hair

If you want shiny hair you should squeeze lemon on your hair and let it soak you will get

1.great hair
2.shiny hair
3.hair that you can show off

Thank you for sending in this great tip. I have been amazed at the properties of the humble lemon

Shiny Hair for ANYONE!

When ever you in the shower Shampoo and rinse with warm/hot water to open up the hair folicles. Put in your conditioner and rinse with COLD water to close the hair folicles and make your hair look REALLY shiny.

Shiny, springy, fresh curls!!

To get beautiful curls, shampoo your hair with a moisture shampoo or a shampoo for damaged or curly hair, then follow up with a conditioner for one of the above. when you get out of the shower, spread some light gel through hair, but not too much.

The point is to make the frizz go away by keeping the usually frizzy hair with the rest of the main curl by basically gluing it together. also get some gel in the top of your head because that keeps frizz down there and also encourages curls sooner up on the strand. scrunch a lot and let it air dry – do not touch!

The result will be well worth the five extra minutes (or less!) putting the gel in you

Simple hair conditioner Beauty tips

Here is a simple way to condition your hair. Add a tablespoon of vinegar to dissolve sticky residue left by shampoo.

Smooth hair can be simple

Struggling with your dull lifeless locks?

Well its probably because you’ve straightened it to many times, literally burning the hair leaving it with no cuticle. The one thing you need for smooth hair is cold water, it does actually close the cuticle and rinses better than warm. Also a shampoo with natural ingredients, they may be expensive but some can be pretty cheap. If you can’t afford the expensive kind go for Suave children’s shampoo gentle and smells great.

Also, I think conditioner just added a layer of silicone to my hair so I don’t recommend it. Especially with short hair which easily get oily and messy to fast. Also be as reluctant to your hair as possible, brush it only once! And never put aerosol gels or mousses that dry the hair out. I hope this helped!

Super soft hair

Do you want super soft hair? Just put about a quarter size of conditioner in your palm and rub it in your hair and DO NOT LEAVE IN. Just rinse. After you rinse, put on freezing cold water and rinse hair in that too to flatten the cuticle.

Tip for increased hair growth

Milk 1 coconut. Get the milk, apply and massage to your scalp. Wait for 30 minutes then rinse with your shampoo and conditioner. Do this weekly and for a few months you’ll have thick, shiny hair!

Conditioning Tip for shiny hair

After shampooing and conditioning with appropriate shampoo and conditioner for your hair type, rinse hair with cold water to close the cuticles on the hair, this makes your hair lovely and shiny.

To make curly hair frizz-free and springy

OK. I swear this works for me!! I have tried product after product because I figured something had to work. Redken smooth does not work for curly hair. Nexxus ensure works pretty well and I am guessing that things for dry or damaged hair would also work.

Anyway, if you have curly hair that is frizzy, it is probably because it is dry and brittle. The way to fix this is to make sure your hair gets the moisture it needs. here goes the instructions:

Shampoo your hair only 4 times per month unless hair is extremely dirty

Condition your hair every day with lorel vive conditioner for curly hair.

Put the conditioner in hair at the beginning of your shower making sure to get a lot in and massage it into hair until tangles are out and it is soft because this conditioner does not do a lot when there is only a little bit and it needs to be rubbed into the hair for it to work, and then continue with shower (do not wet hair when taking the rest of your shower!!).

If you took a short shower do this step in the sink five minutes later. turn the water on cold and flip hair over one shoulder. yes, this might be a little chilly but if you want good hair you cannot skip this.

Rinse hair in the cold water, but not all the way out. this might take some experimenting, but you’ll get the hang of it. you want your hair to still be soft and feel good when you are done with this, not squeaky clean. when you get out of the shower, dab -dab and pat, not rub or move the towel over hair in a back-and-forth motion- so that hair is not soaking wet. after a few minutes, not more than five, squirt some shine spray such as extreme shine by special effects (do not use the bedhead frizz serum because it just makes hair oily) and comb this through hair. you will also have to experiment with this, but depending on how shiny you want your hair, add more or less spray. spray on both sides on the inside and outside and on the back. comb this through hair.

Carefully put hair behind your shoulders, not in front of them, and do not touch it while it dries!!!!!you should have a little bit of conditioner in your hair but it makes hair smooth and soft. Your hair should be springy, frizz-free, shiny, and soft! hopefully this works for you. i do not know how this will work on african-american curly hair because it is a different type than mine, but this should work for the rest.

Hair fizz. Tip to UnFrizz your hair

Being a person that has curly hair, I know that it can really suck, especially if you don’t know how to treat it!

My secret is:  use cream hair products.

Don’t use gel or mousse because these products contain alcohol in them and can make those precious locks turn into balls of frizz!! Using cream products define the curls and make them bounce with volume. Creams work amazingly, because your hair feels so much more natural and softer, instead of crunchy and hard.

Well, all you people who were chosen to have curly hair, hope you use my tip and see the results it will give you!

Hope it works out okay, cause I know it did for me!!

Vaseline on your hair…Its amazing!

Well as you know vaseline can be used for many different things, make-up, skin… and hair! Do you find after drying or straightening your hair you get split ends that ruin your look and make your hair look frizzy?

Well take a small amount of vaseline and rub it evenly in your hands… then apply it to your hair! And all those horrid frizzy bits disappear!

Be careful not to apply too much though…otherwise your hair may get greasy and you dont want that!

Veggie and olive oil hair conditioner

Mix vegitable and olive oil together and put it on your hair. Then, put your hair in a shower cap and keep your hair hot by either taking a shower or taking a blow-dryer to it while the shower cap is on…take it off…and rinse clean!

Your healthiest hair ever

If your hair is really dry just pour olive oil in your hair (about a tablespoon) and wrap it in saran wrap and leave in for 10 minutes. then rinse out in warm water and you will have shiny beautiful healthy hair!!!!

Another remedy that my mother used, was after washing, towel-dry hair and massage a small amount of glycerine into your scalp and work through your hair. Cover with shower cap or plastic wrap for 1/2 hour. Let it dry. It conditions the hair and helps keep the scalp from being dry. Rinse if desired

Curly hair

Hair Instant hair conditioner, frizz serum

When your hair is a little bit damp after washing, put a small dab of castor oil in your palm and rub you palms together to heat the oil. then just pat the oil onto your tips and damaged areas. It does a better job than my expensive instant conditioner

Using botanical, olive or plant oils are better choices than castor oil. These oils pentetrate the hair shaft without weighing down the hair. Great choices: jojoba, almond, grapeseed, lavender, Nexxus Botanic Oil

Just wet it and twirl

I have straight hair and I’ve always envied curly hair. But it seems as though the grass is always greener on the other side. My sisters have curly hair- they just wet it and twirl their curls. You get loose neat curls and i think that looks really nice on curly hair.

to have less frizzy but still naturally gorge locks just add john frieda curls lovers moose its a god send and really works

K-Y lubricating gel

Instead of spending a fortune on hair serum, Use a small amount of “K-Y” lubricating gel on just washed damp curly hair. It really works.

Tried this and it works, i’ve used it on damp hair before scrunching and on dry hair to separate curls and its very effective.

Stop curly hair being frizzy

For all of you out there whose curls are frizzy especially on the underneath of your hair , I have tried absolutely everything and have probably spent a fortune , but finally I have found something that really does work.

First wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner and wash out completely when drenched and soaking brush through with a hard brush and brush the underneath especially well , then simply scrunch up your hair using your fingers , follow by a shock waves curls boosting moose and followed by the shock waves curl boosting spray. Remember keep scrunching your hair at all times , and allow do dry naturally , look at yourself , and think WOW what luscious locks !

Go out have a fab time what ever you do coz this gr8 hair style stays lush no matters what the weathers like out side . Every one will be jealous you’ll look like a star , believe me .

It is VERY dangerous to brush wet hair (even if it is just damp. This is because when har is wet, the saturated hair fibres are pulled apart much more easily (think wet paper). First squeeze out excess water, and using a wide-toothed detangling comb, start unpicking at the ends then comb out the rest SLOWLY and CAREFULLY. Style then as usual.

Normal conditioner

After shampooing, put normal conditioner in your hair. Leave the conditioner in. Comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb and then scrunch hair. Hair will hold curl, will condition hair, and hair will feel silky soft.

Oil your curly and frizzy hair

Oil your scalp with cotton dipped in warm coconut oil. Massage the oil into the scalp. Do this regularly and you will see your hair is no longer frizzy and curly but straighter and smoother. Hair that is not oiled generally tends to curl and become frizzy as it is dry.

This really works. I prefer to use Baby Oil and it leaves my unmanageable curly hair soft and silky and in a glow of ringlets all over my head. I’ve used coconut oil and found that to work too.

Shiny beautiful curls!

. We are all tired of dry curls. I know it because myself used to suffer from that. For all of you chick with curly hair, Olive oil is the key. Dry hair

Almond oil for dry, damaged hair

You can buy the almond oil in the Chemist. Put it into dry or damp hair and leave for 1-2 hours. You can even use a hair dryer for a few minutes for better effect! Wash out and style as normal

Frizzy hair. Combing it out in the morning

Like me, brushing my hair in the morning is awful. Now i use Frizz – Ease Dream Curls from Boots, Asda, Tesco, all good shops. I also use Trevor Sorbie- Professional to go cream it is straighting balm it smoothes and shines your hair so your ready in the morning.

All your need to do is comb it through put the cream in and comb it again and your ready to do any hair style your most comfortable in.

Damaged dry hair beauty tips

nourishing conditioner for dry or damaged hair which can be used for all hair types. Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, whip it to a peak. Add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until mixture is creamy. Then mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up and then rinsed until all of the egg is washed away.

Frizzy hair. How to deal with this problem hair

If you have really frizzy hair and you are all out of frizz ease just run a dryer sheet through your hair it will add shine control frizz and your hair will have a great smell!!!

Or you could add baby powder to soak up the extra oil. (beware if your a brunette on that last tip use baby powder spraingly and blow dry when down otherwise end up having hair as white as grandmas!

when you’re in a hurry and you’ve used too much conditioner, don’t worry. If you’re a blonde sprinkle baby powder on you scalp. It soaks up the oil. brush it through then just give it a shake.

Mayonnaise for dry hair

Coat your hair in mayonnaise leave it in for about 1 hour rinse out and wash like normal. Don’t rinse off in the shower make sure you rinse your hair off in the sink.

Another way to use this is to put mayonnaise and an egg mixed up into a really creamy mixture and put all over hair. Then put a shower cap over and keep it on for 15 – 20 minutes. Rinse then shampoo and condition. Leave conditioner on for 3 – 4 minutes then rise. Let hair air dry and spray a leave in conditioner in. Then comb. I did wash this off in the shower though.

Olive Oil and your hair

I like using olive oil for as a treatment for dry hair. Apply a small amount and then I cover my hair with a showercap and wait about a good 1-2 hours, depending on how dry your hair is, then wash and style as usual.

I think the idea is great, because the oil makes your hair less dry but ends up increasing the chance of gray hairs

Silky Shiny Hair using beer

Take half a can of beer and after shampooing rince your hair in beer. Let sit for a few minutes then rinse out. I know it sounds silly but I promise you it works. You will be left with silky shiny hair!

Back in my teenage years my mom used beer on my hair. My hair was wavy with some curls here and there. We wanted to smooth out the frizzies. This is how we did it. A lot of work but good to do for a prom, other special event, etc. Wash your hair as usual. Do not skip conditioner. Rinse hair with cold tap water. Wrap a towel to absorb the excess water. Get a can of beer and rinse your hair with it. (I bet you if it is cold from the fridge even better). Use rollers all over your hair. Not the velcro kind, the smooth kind. Let it dry naturally. Then take off all the rollers, do the “doobie doobie” on your hair. That’s when you put a large roller on the crown on your hair and wrap your hair all the way around your head in one direction. To start smooth out hair with a brush that has many bristles while brushing over on the scalp. Pin it, and keep going all the way around while maintaing your hair flat and straight on the head. Put on a bandana tight enough around the head and go to bed. The next morning or a few hours later, take off all the bobby pins (large ones). Your hair will be so shiny! Brush the hair the way you want it. You could probably add some curls here and there for interest with a curly iron. With my type of hair I ended up with smooth, shiny, bouncy hair with volume because of the rollers. You will get a lot of looks! Tip: While adding rollers, dip a comb in beer to rewet the part you are rolling. Oh yeah, don’t worry, the smell of beer dissipates. Please let me know your feedback on this if you do it. Enjoy!

Turn Dry Frizzy Hair into Silky Smooth Hair

Hair is usually dry because it lacks natural oils and vitamins. Some applied oils replace these, like hair oils, but that solution is usually temporarily. My hair is very dry, usually frizzing, even with heavy conditioner. My friend passed me a helpful tip. Shower, either in warm or in cool water (cool water doesn’t dry out skin and hair too much). Shampoo, rinse, then lather up with a rich, thick conditioner. (Some “for dry hair” conditioners work well, but others may DRY your hair OUT so you will buy more. This is simply a way to make more money. Find one that works for you. I recommend Herbal Essence or Pantene.) Do not rinse immediately–take a fine-toothed comb and gently comb through your hair, from top to ends in each stroke. This distributes the conditioner to all parts or your hair and keeps the hair manageable. After around five minutes of this, rinse. When you get out, wrap your hair in a towel, towel-drying and blow-drying may/will damage your hair. Still damp, comb through again. This tip may take a few times for your hair to take effect.

Everyone’s hair is different. Some are naturally dry while others are temporarily dry, (ie teenagers or preteens through puberty). My hair is fine and frizzy, and it worked for me!

Simple Solution** If this doesn’t work, I have often tied my hair back in a ponytail or braid, spraying it with water. In a few hours I can let it down. Sometimes pressure can stop it from frizzing, but this solution isn’t that accountable.

Your healthiest hair ever

A greasy scalp or hair can be combated using baby powder or body spray. Simply sprinkle baby powder or spray body spray on your hair and scalp. You should notice a difference.

Greasy oily hair and teenagers

While brushing, try to avoid tugging, pulling, etc. Be sure to eat healthy foods (especially veggies) and clean your hair. Don’t use shampoo, only a mild conditioner, and don’t put too much of it on the roots, otherwise you will have a huge problem!

Hair removal

Getting Rid Of Unwanted Hair

Women everywhere experience the growth of unwanted hair, even actresses and models, so you’re not alone. How we choose an approach to remove unsightly hair can be difficult. There are numerous products and treatments for hair removal available out on the market today, before choosing one that is right for you get to know the basics.
Removal of leg hair – waxing or shaving is more likely used for leg hair due to the large area to cover. Both are relatively cheap and can be purchased at your local drug store.

Shaving is usually accomplished with a razor, blade and shaving cream. It usually is done very quickly and inexpensively. Shaving is the easiest way to keep your legs hairless. The disadvantage of shaving; hair grows back very quickly and needs repeated on an average of five to six times a week. There’s a chance of nicking your knees and ankles, but is reasonably painless.

Waxing is another popular option for leg hair removal. Legs will appear a lot smoother as apposed to shaving. The hair takes a lot longer to grow back which cuts down how often you need to wax. Waxing can be quite painful and may not be recommended for someone with sensitive skin.

Removal of bikini line hair – removal of the bikini line is commonly removed by shaving, creams or waxing.

Shaving is a simple way of bikini line hair removal. Some razors are specially made for the bikini line, with narrow razors specially created for the bikini line. Shaving can be conveniently done while showering, but hair growth returns rather quickly.

Waxing is another option for of bikini line hair removal but tends to be extremely painful and is not recommended for women with sensitive skin. The bikini line is a very sensitive area. The removal of hair by waxing, gives your bikini line a smooth and hairless look for several weeks. These waxes are available online and at your local drug store and are comparatively inexpensive.

Creams are also available that remove hair quite easily. Many women go with this method since it is effective and are less expensive than the cost of professional hair removal methods. Many of these creams are a little messy but hair stays gone longer than with regular shaving.

Removal of facial hair, including eyebrows and moustaches. Several procedures or products are available to remove facial hair for extended periods of time. Eyebrows are usually done by waxing or plucking.

Waxing eyebrows is usually performed and a salon. The cost varies from salon to salon but is on average ten to fifteen dollars. Waxing rids you of the unwanted hair for several weeks.

Plucking the eyebrows is the most common way of getting rid of the unwanted eyebrow hair. Plucking involves a pair of tweezers and is somewhat painful. Although plucking involves the pulling of hair and root which prohibits hair from growing for several weeks.

Many professional hair removal options are available such as laser and electroysis. Both can be somewhat expensive and time consuming. Research the advantages and disadvantages both treatments have, the expensive that is involved and the lasting effects that both have on hair removal.

If the expensive treatments such as electrolysis and laser surgery is not for you then explore all the different options on the market today. Find one that is affordable for you. Look for things such as guarantees on the products and if they where clinically proven to be effective. If a product seems to good to be true, chances are they are.

The razor by far is the most popular, cheapest and painless way to handle hair growth. Steer away from shaving the facial hair, it’ll grow back with a stubby appearance and you’ll have bigger problems than just a few stray hairs growing.

Numb your skin before waxing

If you want to wax an area that is sensitive and you would like to avoid the pain, especially in areas like you lips, all you need to do is numb the area first with ice.

Shaving your bikini area. Stop breakouts

Stop breakouts after shaving your bikini area by applying deodorant to the shaved area immediately after drying off.

Use hair conditioner and alcohol when shaving

For shaving, especially the bikini area, place a hot towel on hairs, then, after towel slightly cools, rub hair conditioner on to soften the hair, wait about a minute and leave conditioner on hair. Then use a new razor and shave in one direction try not to reshave any area too much to prevent irritation.

Rinse and rub rubbing alcohol to close pores to prevent ingrown hairs from sneaking in. Do this every other day until skin is used to the shaving, then you can shave more frequently.

Lightening hair

Blonde Hair For Blondes. Hair dye tip

If you have caramel, honey or any light colour blonde hair and want to kick it up a notch by making it even lighter try this. Mix 1/2 water, 1/2 hydrogen peroxide, put it in a clean spray bottle and spray it on you’re hair after you wash it.

For the fastest effect let your hair dry in the sun. If your hair is darker and you’re worried you might turn orange try a smaller ratio of H2O2 and adjust it as needed. I’ve lightened my hair out to a frosty blonde and eliminated all the brassy dull tones.

To keep the colour as light as possible try John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde collection, it’s the best line I’ve ever used on my hair. It keeps it bright and clean looking, the purple styling products are great. The colour additive really makes hair shimmer, just put a dark towel on your shoulders until it dries so it wont stai

Use Lemons for lighter hair

If you comb lemon juice evenly through your hair and the dry it in the sun your hair will turn lighter repeat this for at least a week.

Yep it’s true unless you don’t wanna be a bright orange head you shouldn’t put lemon on your hair in the sun!you will get orange hair!!!

Want to try a highlighter in your hair?

Want to try a highlighter in your hair, but don’t want to spring for the expense? Try a highlight pen – the kind you use on paper. Yellow for blondes, orange for brunettes or darker.

The person who said about the highighter in your hair it does not look very good and you can tell that you used highlighter I would not use this advice on anyone

At least this trick will give you an idea for placement, thickness and amount of hightlights before putting the permanent stuff in. Duh!

Make your own hair lightener

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups chamomile tea
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Boil all the ingredients and let it simmer for 15 mins. Strain out the tea bags and parsley (make sure to remove all of the parsley) and let it sit till room temperature. Poor on to hair over a sink and rinse two or three times. Your hair should be smelling nice and looking lighter.

Before I answer the questions that have been asked 20X, first you need to understand how hair lightening works. When you lighten your hair, this is not something that will “fade” or can be undone. It’s something that is permanent (except for covering it with darker dye).

When you go to a salon to have you hair professional chemically lightened, this is a two-step process. Or if you buy hair lightener in a box – same thing. The “developer” (usually a mixture of peroxide and ammonia = very harsh) opens the hair shaft and strips it of its natural color. Then the (blonde) dye is added to achieve the new shade. Results are different on each person, depending on the natural color of your hair.

This chamomile/lemon mixture acts in the exact same manner – except it is a “natural” method and not chemical. The lemon juice is the natural “developer” and the chamomile adds the warm blonde tones (unique to each person depending on the natural color of your hair.

If you’ve previously dyed your hair darker than its natural color (i.e. dyed it black), then your hair has not been stripped of its real color. The shaft has been opened and a darker pigment has been added. This will fade over time if you stop dying it black.

NOW THE ANSWERS:

Q: Will it work on naturally jet black hair?
A: No.

Q: Will it work on hair that is dyed black?
A: No. Not until the black dye fades or grows out.

Q: Can I use lime juice instead?
A: No. Lemon juice is a natural developer.

Q: Can it be bottled lemon juice?
A: Yes.

Q: Do I have to sit in the sun?
A: No. But if you don’t then you need to use a hair dryer because it is the HEAT that makes the lemon juice work. 20 minutes with a hair dryer is as effective as 3 hours in the sun.

Q: Can I use a different tea?
A: No. The chamomile tea is what gives it the natural looking blonde tones.

Q: Can I just use lemon juice and nothing else?
A: Yes. The lemon juice is primarily what lightens the hair via a natural “chemical reaction.” BUT it will look more bleach-blondy and harsh without the tea’s tones.

Q: Will it work on brown (even dark brown) hair?
A: Yes. Not as effectively, but yes. You’ll need to use more lemon, more heat, etc.

Q: Will it fade?
A: No. You’ve permanently lightened the hair.

Q: Should I wash my hair afterward?
A: Yes. After you have HEATED it with sun or blow dryer, wash it because the lemon will continue to dry out your hair.

Q: Do I need parsley?
A: No. Parsley promotes shine and hair growth. In this mixture it acts as the conditioner. It does nothing to contribute to lightening it. You can just use conditioner when you’re done lightening instead.

Wow Kate this really works! My hair got a lot lighter! I was surprised.

I got a little parsley in my hair but it came out when i rinsed it!

Problematic hair

Bad Hair Day? Tips for Bad Hair Days!

Men and women around the world have bad hair days, which is when our hair doesn’t lay like we would want it to, or when our hair just doesn’t look as good as we think it should. Sometimes you can prevent a bad hair day just by using the tips and ideas we have compiled for you. If you have other problems with you hair, like static, if you want to color your hair, or if you have a problem with your hair you want to solve, you can find many answers through the Tipking.com where users share tips on cleaning, washing, and caring for your hair.

A great hair day is just a few steps away if you make a routine for yourself. Following a routine of washing your hair, cutting your hair, and caring for your hair is basically what you need for a continued great hair day. Let’s start with your scalp and talk a bit about how washing your hair can hurt or help your scalp.

When you wash your hair you need to wet your hair first. Wetting your hair and putting shampoo directly on your wet hair and working the shampoo into your scalp, scrubbing the soap onto your scalp is going to help wash out oils, control dandruff, and this method is going to work on getting hairspray and such out of your hair. Putting the shampoo directly onto your scalp and then working it out and scrubbing your hair can leave shampoo on your scalp causing additional dandruff, and causing your hair to be heavier as it is not as clean.

Smaller amounts are needed on the ends of your hair as this is one part of your hair that will wash out easily, removing hair spray and gel without much soap. If you have longer hair, you should try not to squeeze the ends of your hair too much but to slide your hand over your hair to remove excessive water. Squeezing your hair promotes breaking hair follicles leaving you with hair that is frizzy and often uneven after a few weeks without a hair trim.

Longer hair is going to require some amount of conditioner. For your scalp, you shouldn’t need conditioner at all. Putting too much conditioner on your hair, without rinsing good is going to leave your hair heavy and oily feeling. If you have longer hair, hair that is longer than your shoulders, you might not want to wash your hair upside down as this is going to give you more tangles than if you were standing up and letting your hair fall as it normally would.

From the roots of your hair, ‘go out’ about two inches and then apply conditioner. Conditioner is only needed from the ends of your hair to the mid portions of your hair so you get the tangles out without leaving too much conditioner in your hair.

The products that you use on your hair is going to have a lasting effect on how good your hair looks and performs for your daily. A shampoo that contains a lot of ‘waxes’ will leave your hair straighter, thinner and often heavier than other types of shampoo. If you have oily hair, staying away from shampoos that contain a lot of waxes will leave your hair cleaner feeling and not as oily so you can make it style as you want without much of the hassle.

On the other hand, if you have very dry hair, a shampoo or conditioner with more wax, and additional oil products added will control your frizzys so you can style your hair in a more manageable fashion. To learn more about what type of hair type you have, don’t wash your hair in the morning. If your hair is very greasy feeling towards lunch time, you have an oily hair type. If your hair feels good and light most of the day, you don’t have a problem with oil. If you always seem to have frizzy hair even after a hair cut, your hair may be very dry.

Products that can make your senses come alive when you care for your hair include scents. You should be aware that every scent is going to react and smell differently with every person hair and chemical make up, but using scented shampoo can make your over all feeling of how you look different and make you feel as if you are having a great hair day!

A few of the types of scents which are in many of the shampoos made today include that of herbal scents, fruits, and natural scents such as rain, trees, and roses, mint, rosemary, chamomile and aloe vera.

Hair products that are old, and that are outdated can affect how you style your hair. Old products that have lost their 100% ability to clean and style your hair can leave you with a bad hair day. Watch the dates, the expiration dates, when purchasing hair products from discount stores, and even some retail stores as well!

Hair products that are left open in the shower, or on the sink, and water gets into the products can lessen what the hair product does for your hair. If you have a hair product that has water in it you may find yourself having a bad hair day when you use this product as it will not perform to your expectations.

Blonde hair turning green

If you are blonde and your hair goes green from the chlorine in a swimming pool wash your hair in ketchup and it bring the blonde back.

Good Luck!

Fly away hair? Well here is an answer

If you struggle with fly away hair always use pure bristle brushes. Nylon brushes create more static and will make the problem worse.

For any hair this is the care

My family has some great tips for hair and skin and stuff but this one we haven’t told anybody. it’s for any kind of hair. Long or short oily or dry.

You need an egg yolk some rum and some olive oil. mix an egg yolk and about 2 tablespoons of rum into a bowl with a tablespoon of olive oil. leave in hair for and hour then no need to use shampoo it foams itself.

Has your hair stopped growing?

If your hair is not growing just put it in a ponytail when dry (this will prevent breakages). If you put it in a ponytail everyday it grows faster and a little extra tip is eat a lot of protien it encourages hair growth.

this tip is great ive been wearing my hair in a a ponytail evever since ui decided to grow it out of a bob and and it is now past my shoulders, it also makes it look longer.

Hair Instant hair conditioner, frizz serum

When your hair is a little bit damp after washing, put a small dab of castor oil in your palm and rub you palms together to heat the oil. then just pat the oil onto your tips and damaged areas. It does a better job than my expensive instant conditioner

No frizzies, poofed out hair, and your hair will be straight

Ok…well i have very thick hair and it’s really hard to keep straight when i blow dry it once i get out of the shower…and usually it would make my hair poof out and have a bunch frizzies.

So one night I decided that I would have a shower before I went to bed, instead of in the morning…and not blow dry my hair. So once I got out of the shower I put my hair in a loose ponytail, even though it was dripping wet. And then went to bed.
The next morning my hair was still a bit damp, like I wanted it to be. So I used the hair dryer…like I usually did.. and then just straightened it. once I flipped my hair up.

It wasn’t poofy and there were no frizzies and (that’s because my hair wasn’t completely wet…it was just a little damp because it pretty much dried during the night) it was straighter than usual. And now I wash my hair every night before I go to bed and do the same routine….and my hair is still healthy, with no frizzies, poofed out hair, and straight!

So I recommended u girls with thick hair to try this…even with thinner hair…it might work. Oh and make sure that you don’t make the ponytail tight…just very loose, because it won’t leave you that bump you get from ponytails. I hope it works as good for you as it did for me.

I find that untying tied up hair calms down frizz, fly away and fat hair. Finally! A natural and damage free solution!

Long hair. Over Forty and Long Hair?

Long hair, and I mean long hair that is below your shoulder level can be very revealing for some women. If you are over thirty five, over forty and you want long hair you may want to read through this article for more information about what others may think. Please keep in mind this is my own opinion, just something that I wanted to detail a little more for those women out there with a little dare in them!

One thing that you should keep in mind is that no matter what age you are, fashions and styles come and go. While some women are wearing their hair short, others have it very long. Look to your local area, the famous women that you see and you will notice quickly what the latest craze. While writing this article, it seems that straight, very straight hair is the style, but who knows next month it could be the wave that is the thing to do.

Long hair can be the best thing in your life, and will add to your features if you have the time to work with it once in a while.

Long hair is flowing, and very romantic looking when it is brushed often and shiny. Longer hair gives you many many more options when you are searching for a different ‘do’ or a way to put your hair up. When you have short hair, your hair either compliments you or you are waiting for it to grow out!

On feature that many the woman, even older women, look great with long hair is a rounder face. A thin face can look longer and more narrow if you have longer hair, but the rounder fuller face is much thinner and set off with long hair.

When deciding you want long hair:

If you are starting to grow your hair longer, you will have to realize that your hair is going to go through a few stages. The stages where it might not seem so controllable and where you might feel it is taking too long to grow, but really, before you know it your hair is long and beautiful just as you had planned.

The more professional that you are, shoulder length and shorter hair looks a bit more professional, unless you are very keen on keeping your hair styled and in place. Often the woman with longer hair, curly and loose does not look as professional but more free ‘like’ without boundaries. If you really want long hair and you have a professional business type job, learn more ways you can ‘do’ your hair in minutes without the hassle.

Long hair making you look older? Try this:

If you think your long hair is making you look older than what you really feel, try highlighting your hair for that light look that will brighten your overall look.

Learn to curl your hair more often around your face so it will keep your face looking softer without the hard lines of straight hair. Straight hair is a possibility if you don’t have too many wrinkles.

If you find that your hair is making your age spots or freckles stand out more, try a lightening cream that will lighten your age spots, and lighten freckles.

Lighten the top portions of your hair, not the end, the top portions of your hair that is lightened is going to draw others eyes away from your face and your body all over so even if you have a few wrinkles or such, no one is going to notice as much otherwise.

Add layers to your hair, giving it a fuller look without the straight and narrow look. A nice long hairdo is going to allow your hair in layers to look curlier and fuller, that will make your overall appearance younger and fresh looking.

When you find that your hair is going through those in between stages when you don’t feel it looks so great, start using a spray or a little lifting gel close to the roots to give your hair a bit more body, this will take away from your age and make you look younger.

Keeping your hair long no matter what the age does take a little look, but often times a longer hair style can actually make you look younger if you just put a little time into doing your hair! Keep brushing for a shine that will gleam.

Puffy and Wild to Texturized and Manageable!

If you have naturally wavy/puffy hair, don’t consider this a bad thing! No one likes puffiness, but the waves are great! This works best with layered hair at the bottom. Just flat-iron hair until layers start, or just below ear-length.

It’s so simple and the puffiness will be gone and you can keep your waves! for a curlier look, tease ends of hair with a curling iron.
