The first thing to try is rubbing alcohol. Obviously test in and inconspicuous area first. If you don't have rubbing alcohol in the house use the next best thing and that is hairspray.

I sed a q-tip for fear of making the marker worse, that way I could get right on the lines of the stain. No rubbing was necesarry and i wiped dry with tissue.
