Remove Non-washable crayons on walls

My 17 month old decided to use our wall as her art board with non-washable crayons. It is painted with a matt finish so I thought it would never come out. Well I tried everything I could think of. Then I combined two tips that I saw into one.

I used baby wipes with baking soda. I couldn't believe it, but it worked. I had to use some elbow grease, but after awhile, it was all gone. I have now switched to all washable crayons for both our girls.

My nearly two year old son found crayons in his sisters room. i thought he was asleep but, he got up and went into her room without me knowing. I then found his pieces of art all over the walls. I happened to be on the net so I decided to look up a quick fix. I tried this tip and it worked straight away. i only wish I knew this 3 years ago when my daughter did the same thing. I have a special needs 5 year old that is learning about coloring in school, so he tried it on his walls at home and I almost fainted. As a single Mom with limited funds, this was a miracle to me.
