Remove Non-washable crayons on walls

Submitted by Melinda Hernandez

My 17 month old decided to use our wall as her art board with non-washable crayons. It is painted with a matt finish so I thought it would never come out. Well I tried everything I could think of. Then I combined two tips that I saw into one.

I used baby wipes with baking soda. I couldn't believe it, but it worked. I had to use some elbow grease, but after awhile, it was all gone. I have now switched to all washable crayons for both our girls.

Thank you so much for the tip!! My two year old son decided to write with a crayon on his sister's brand new furniture. The baby wipes and baking soda worked great!! Thanks again

Every mother of a toddler should know this....... Comments By: Kellie from Australia
What an excellent tip, it worked straight away. My nearly two year old son found crayons in his sisters room. i thought he was asleep but, he got up and went into her room without me knowing. I then found his pieces of art all over the walls. I happened to be on the net so I decided to look up a quick fix. I tried this tip and it worked straight away. i only wish I knew this 3 years ago when my daughter did the same thing. After many cleaning products we ended up repainting the entire wall.

Simply AMAZING!!! Comments By: Cindi (Naples, FL.)
Who would of thought JUST baking soda and baby wipes would do the trick. I have a special needs 5 year old that is learning about coloring in school, so he tried it on his walls at home and I almost fainted. As a single Mom with limited funds, this was a miracle to me. I didn't even have to run to the store, I already had both of the products at home. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!
